SID Beijing StudentChapter 2026 Activity Plan
Activity Theme:
The Society for Information Display (SID) has established multiplestudent chapters globally, aiming to unite and mobilize students majoring indisplay-related fields from surrounding universities and research institutions,promote the development of information display technology and the industry, andadvance academic and technical exchange. As a part of SID, the Beijing StudentChapter is dedicated to expanding the understanding of display devices, drivingtechnologies, materials, and emerging displays among students in surroundinguniversities, and promoting their academic research and career development inthis field. To achieve this goal, the Beijing Student Chapter plans to host aseries of related activities designed to provide students with opportunitiesfor academic exchange, career development, and practical experience, whileenhancing their knowledge and skills in the field of information displaytechnology. Below are some of the main activities we have planned for 2026:
Activity 1: Visit and Exchange at the Minimally Invasive Diagnosis andTreatment and 3D Imaging Laboratory
Time: To be determined (TBD)
Location: Center of Biomedical Imaging, Tsinghua University
Activity Content: Invite students from the student chapter to visit the Minimally Invasive Diagnosis and Treatment and 3D Imaging Laboratory at Tsinghua University to carry out visit and exchange activities on the clinical applications of the metaverse and 3D display technology, and to discuss the latest research progress in related fields.
Activity Goal: Provide an academic exchange platform, stimulate students' interest in learning and researching 3D display technology, and establish and strengthen opportunities for exchange and cooperation among different universities and laboratories.
Activity 2: Visit and Exchange at the Beihang Display and ImagingLaboratory
Time: TBD
Location: New Main Building, Xueyuan Road Campus, Beihang University, Haidian District, Beijing
Activity Content: Invite students from the student chapter to visit the Beihang Display and Imaging Laboratory to conduct a visit and exchange activity focusing on dense light field 3D display technology, and to discuss the latest research progress in related fields.
Activity Goal: Provide an academic exchange platform, promote the establishment of students' interest in learning and researching 3D display technology, and strengthen opportunities for exchange and cooperation among different universities and laboratories.

Activity Content:
Keynote Speech: Real-time Light Field 3D Acquisition and Display Technology
Speaker: Associate Professor Xing Yan, Beihang University
Interactive Discussion: Students ask questions and communicate with the speaker
Activity Goal: Provide a platform for exchange and cooperation among university students in Beijing, promoting the collision of ideas and innovative thinking. Explore the application prospects and future development directions of 3D display technology.
Activity 4: Academic Conference Exchange - The 15th Stereoscopic ImageTechnology Academic Conference
1. Time: June 5-7, 2026
2. Location: Chengdu Wangjiang Hotel
3. Activity Content: Participate together in the 15th Stereoscopic Image Technology Academic Conference. This conference aims to jointly research and discuss the latest research findings, technological innovations, and their applications in the field of 3D imaging and display in recent years, providing a mutual exchange platform for experts, scholars, and engineering technicians engaged in basic research and application promotion in 3D imaging, display, and related fields.
4. Activity Goal: Promote students' interest in learning and researching 3D display technology, understand the latest developments in the field of 3D imaging and display, and establish connections and cooperation opportunities with professionals.
