 WHO WE ARE Society for Information Display is comprised of the top scientists, engineers, corporate researchers, and business people of the display industry, valued at over US$100B annually. SID was formed in 1962 to promulgate display technology, and that work continues today.It has Beijing Chapter in mainland China (due to political reasons, SID's chapter in Mainland China is named after the capital, and is one of the 33 chapters SID has established globally), with 18 technical committees and 239 experts. SID Beijing branch has more than 1900 members, and has become the largest chapter in the world. ICDT International Conference on Display Technology ( ICDT ) is the only display technology conference held solely by SID outside the United States.Each year, the conference attracts more than 40 academicians and SID fellows at home and abroad, more than 50 national distinguished experts, national Distinguished Young scholars and Changjiang Scholars, and more than 1800 people from universities and business elites all over the world to participate in the conference, among which 20% to 30% are overseas participants. The participants are from nearly 350 different enterprises in the upper, middle and lower reaches of the display industry and 130 of different universities and institutes. International Display Technology Conference 2025 (ICDT 2025) will be held from March 18-21, in Xiamen, Fujian. SID Chapter & SID China SID China is the only overseas operating entity established outside the US in SID's 61-year history. SID China devotes to introduce SID members and oversea display companies to work with Chinese display community. SID China also helps innovative companies or entrepreneurs to access capital fund through our investment funding network. As an important carrier of SID China headquarters and future innovation and development, they are a gathering place for domestic and foreign display enterprises to exchange and obtain industrial and technical information, an entity supporting SID Beijing Chapter, which will cooperate with the daily operation of SID Beijing Chapter, as well as an entity operating base providing services for SID members and display enterprises. In 2018, SID China was registered in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. In 2022, SID China Shanghai Innovation Center was established in Huangpu District, Shanghai.
